We want YOU…to book in advance.

“So I want in for a full highlight with a haircut and style tonight with a senior stylist.”

We can’t tell you how many calls like this we get on Friday afternoon. And of course, our salon is marching right into the already-completely-booked weekend.

We know what you’ve gone through to make that call. You’ve done your research, you read all the great reviews, and you dig our website. Yep, you’re convinced, The Root Salon HAS to be your new source for beauty and amazing hair. So you make the call and what happens?

No openings.

Really?!? This can be so disappointing….so much for a fantastic new look for the weekend.

We feel your pain. It is beyond frustrating to tell potential new guests “no”.

To help you understand why this happens at our tiny salon, consider the following: When you read about what a wonderful job we do at The Root Salon, everyone else is reading the same thing. This creates a high demand for our services, especially right before the weekend. And, our senior stylists have strong followings with customers who pre-book several appointments in advance.

Senior Stylist, Emily Claire Chelgren keeps herself busy.

Here, we absolutely love what we do. So to help us all out, we have a few pointers to make it easier for you to get an appointment at our salon:

Practice patience and planning. Call in advance to snag the first available appointment with that senior stylist you read all about to secure your beauty day. We will make it worth the wait! We promise.

See a junior stylist. We train our team members to do their very best and adhere to our high standards of great customer service. Junior stylists always work under the supervision of the senior team members. Junior stylists have much more room in their schedules so it’s easier to get in with them if you just can’t plan ahead.

Come in for a complimentary consultation. Once we have seen your hair and discussed your vision for your new look, we have a much better idea of how much time your transformation will take. With this new knowledge, it may be easier to find an appointment time sooner.

Ask about our cancellation list. With such a huge clientele, there are bound to be customers who experience a little snafu in their scheduling. If your name is on our cancellation list, their mishap can be the opening you’ve been waiting for.

We hope this helps all you “last minute Lucys” out there. Above all else, each and every Root Salon team member tries their best to get you in, get you beautiful, and get you feeling wonderful about your look!
