This can be yours.

This can be yours.

Now that you know how to make the perfect cat eye (thank you, Tips & Tricks Tuesday), let’s talk about those brows.

The key to having perfect eyebrows is a lot easier than you think! Fuller eyebrows can benefit you by making you look younger and your eyes look wider. Let’s do it!

First, you must shape the eyebrows:

To determine how to shape your eyebrows you must find your starting point. Hold the brush so that one end falls in line with the edge of the side of your nostril and the other end of the pencil aligns with the inner corner of your eye on that side. See where the brush lands near your brow? That’s your starting point. Repeat the process using your nostril and the outer corner of your eye to determine the ending point. Next, find the natural arch in both your eyebrows by aligning the brush from your nostril through your pupil. Join all three points and you have determined your shape.

Second, define and fill in your brows:

Follow these quick, easy steps…
Step 1- brush eyebrow hair upwards with an eyebrow brush
Step 2- use a brow powder/pencil to define the lines
Step 3- add depth and fill in gaps with light upward strokes for a natural look
Step 4- add a touch of highlighter or concealer right beneath the brow bone for an open-eyed look

Our Product Recommendations:

We recommend using Aveda’s Sepia Eye Definer (we can help you find one that matches your eyebrow color) to outline your brow using the shape you created. Then fill in your brow with Aveda Gobi Sands (eye color trio). It’s best to start by defining the bottom hairline (with the Aveda #7 brush) by drawing soft lines and filling them in slowly.

At the end of these steps you should have beautiful natural looking brows!
