This bow has been enhanced for dramatic purposes.

It’s August! Which means even though it’s still 115 degrees here in Phoenix, fall is right around the corner. Of course we are here to get you, and your tresses, well prepared for the change in season.

Looking ahead, here are the six most trending ways to wear your hair for Fall 2017.

First up, we have bows. Yes, that’s right, bows. Big ones, small ones, silky ones or velvet ones; it really doesn’t matter what kind or how you wear it, just wear it. Models all over the runways were seen in these. This year, bows are not just for your five-year-old’s dance recital.

Next up, ponytails. Again, one really cant go wrong here. Think low ponytails, to the side, with or without a part…girls everywhere rejoice!! This is such an easy look, and who would have guessed so of-the-moment?

Slicked back is our next trend to spotlight. But it’s not the severe, slicked-down look of 2016. For fall 2017, think a more relaxed approach. More like after you towel dry after stepping out the shower, then tuck it off your face or simply brush it back. Putting it behind the ears only gives you bonus points with this one!

Now, this one won’t surprise anyone as they’ve been popular for the last few seasons. And like any good trend, this season comes with a twist, literally: Braids. Braids. Braids. Braids are so versatile which is probably why they’re still such a hot look. Any kind are gold; from cornrows, to loose a and romantic, tiny ones on either side of the face. You can’t go wrong here.

Volume is our next look. And lots of it. Height is a major trend for the cooler months ahead. The only way to achieve the type of height we’re talking about is good old fashioned back-combing (aka “teasing”. Throw in some crimping, fluffing, curling, or a combination of all these methods until Peggy Bundy is high-fiving you.

Last but not least, we have what we will call special effects. Special effects this season come in many forms. Headbands, string, fresh flowers, hair pins or barrettes, pretty much anything one can think of adorning the hair with, works.

Well, there you have it. Fall’s biggest hair trends. They’re all relatively easy to achieve if you want to channel your inner “It Girl.”
